Candidate for Inspector of Elections

I'm a husband, father, and lifelong Vermonter. I've lived and worked in Burlington's South End for 12 years. In that time, I've seen the warmth and power of our community, and I've tried to play a role in strengthening the institutions we depend on.

For the past three years I've served as an Inspector of Elections in Ward 5, and I'd like the opportunity to continue serving my neighbors in that capacity for the next three.

I'm running as an independent candidate for what I believe is essentially a nonpartisan position. My view is that voting should be simple and broadly accessible, and that our city, state, and country are at their best when voter engagement and participation are at their highest.

Having counted the mailed-in and dropped-off ballots of the Covid era - having seen the clear increase in voter participation, even for off-cycle ballots - I am a strong supporter of universal mail-in voting. At this critical moment for our democratic processes nationally, I also reject all forms of voter suppression and disenfranchisement.

I hope to have your support in this crucial work of free and fair elections in Ward 5. Please drop me a line below if you have any questions.
